Subsidy and Net Metering
Eligible households can receive PM Surya Ghar subsidy support of up to ₹85,800 in Himachal Pradesh, subject to scheme rules and system size (1 kW = ₹33,000; 2 kW = ₹66,000; 3 kW or more = ₹85,800). With net metering, surplus power exported to the grid can be credited against your bill, with up to 300 units of free electricity per month under the scheme. What Size Do You Need?
As a guide: 1 kW for bills under Rs 1,000, 2 kW for Rs 1,000 to 2,000, 3 kW for Rs 2,000 to 3,500, and 5 kW for Rs 3,500 to 5,000. We confirm the size after checking your actual usage and roof.
